C has this thing....every year as the summer FINALLY starts to wind down a little, he suddenly says, "Fall is in the air." I always say, "No, it's not" and we banter back and forth about it and he's always right. Within days, you start to feel the coolness of fall creeping in. You see all the Mexican gardeners scalping the lawns and starting to plant rye grass for the winter. And then, you realize, "Yay! Summer is gone!"
Okay, so it's still hitting 100* almost every day, but I drove to work this morning with the windows down for the first time since May! It was actually only 68* rather than in the 80s at 5:30 a.m.! I love those fall mornings when there is a bit of coolness in the air. I can't wait for the "crispness" to arrive! The water coming out of the faucet when I brush my teeth is still hot in the mornings, but, it, too, will soon cool off! I cannot wait to turn off the A/C and have the doors and windows open! Hurry, hurry, hurry!

I too can not wait to turn off the air and get some fresh air. Again love the post. You do a great job. I am so glad that I am a blogger now. I feel like I am scrapbooking. Kinda!
Ah, yes. I've been loving having my doors and windows open again too. Sometimes I have to pop the air on for a bit in the afternoon.
