2008 Blog Book is Done!
Over the last couple of months, Cindy and I have been unofficially racing to get our blog books done. (I say unofficially racing because she probably didn't know we were racing - I'm just competitive like that and since we were both working on them at the same time and they were going to be about the same size, you betcha it was a race.) It was the first time for her and she did a great job. She won though and finished hers last week. I finished mine last night. I'm so glad she asked me for help with hers because it inspired me to get my 2008 book finally finished. It's amazing how much bigger this one was compared to 2007. It was 252 pages! My 2007 book was only about 80+ pages but that's because I had only blogged for 3-4 months of that year having just started blogging.
When I came home from church, the program said I had about 30 pages left to edit. However, when I went back to review my book, I found that I still had one entry to "do" that hadn't ever been done on my actual blog. I had put it off until the end because I knew it would take some time to add in. There were tons of pictures to the entry and I had to go back and find them. Needless to say, once I finished that entry as well as editing all of the remaining pages (what was 30 at the beginning of the afternoon), I'd actually ended up editing almost 70 pages! I was spent by midnight when I finally clicked on "order book". I worked on it for over 10 hours yesterday because I had a coupon code that I wanted to use before it expired and I knew I wouldn't have time tonight or tomorrow.
Now, it's time to start in on the 2009 book. I can't wait to do my 2010 book though - that one will have our whole Michigan trip in it. I'm actually considering just doing a Michigan trip book because there are so many pictures (I took over 1,000, but ended up only using 546 on my blog) but I'm not set on that yet (except now that I see the actual numbers of pictures, I may just do the separate book - it just makes sense). Also, just based on how many entries I have for each of the years, I think they will end up being two-volume books since you can only do up to 440 pages per book and I blogged a LOT more those years!
I love making these books. They are such a good way to preserve my "journal"!

You crack me up! True--I had no idea you were racing me! Hahahahaha! And now you are a whole YEAR ahead of me!
Love your cover. Thanks again for all your help. I'm sure I'll be calling you some more when I start on 2008.
Love, C
