Has It Been 3 Years Already?

Today is our 3 year anniversary! I cannot believe how fast time has gone. I can honestly say I don't think I've been happier being married before.

K: Do you still love me like you did when we first got married?
C: No.
K: What? :(
C: I love you more.

AWWWWWWWWW. How sweet is that? He truly does make me happy. Sure, he leaves his socks all over the closet floor rather than picking them up and putting them in the laundry basket that is 6 inches away. But, he does so many other things that make me happy that I really do try to overlook the socks issue (love ya Vinny). And...he loves my family.

He's so sweetly observant. On Sunday, we were over at Auntie Sigie's and Uncle Ward's and I looked over at her china cabinet. There was the most beautiful cake plate in there that I told her I'd like someday. Well, the next day was our Anniversary Eve and C went shopping. Look what he got me! Three antique cake plates from Glendale's historic antique stores! He said that now I have my own cake plates and have something to put in our new china cabinet. (Auntie - I'd still really like that one particular cake plate though!)

Then, today, he sent flowers to me at work - it was the first time he's ever done that. They smelled so good and I plan on keeping them on my desk in my office all week! (They look a little sad in this picture because I finally was able to take the picture on Day 5, but you get the idea.)

Now, you may ask what I gave him....well, I am just the most horrible wife. I couldn't think of one thing to get him. He's just so hard to buy for because he never really "wants" anything. He does want a Model 55 Winchester rifle - and I have been looking for that for a while - but still haven't found one for him.

We didn't feel like steak and there really weren't any other nice restaurants on our side of town and we didn't feel like driving all the way to Scottsdale, so we just went to The Cheesecake Factory for dinner and porked down some food. It was alright, but nothing to write home about. I had their new pistachio cream cheesecake and he had fresh strawberry.

We headed home and as we sat down to spend some tv time together, I noticed that parts of my vision in my right eye were disappearing. I knew what was coming on.... Soon, the blinking lights started appearing and it was there....a MIGRAINE! Truly! I am not making this up! Luckily, I had one Aleve left and C went to go get it for me. I took it, closed my eyes, and fell right to sleep. I slept on the sofa for 2 hours and then at 9, C came and woke me up to go to bed. So, real romantic evening, huh?!? Sorry, honey...I owe ya...but I really do LOVE you! And...I love you more too.

Happy Anniversary to you both. I am glad you found someone who makes you happy. They say the second time is better than the first. I'm a true testament to that. Or I guess I should say, I married a loser on the first round.
