A Sneak Peak at Christmas Eve

I've been thinking a lot about the upcoming holidays lately, especially Christmas Eve, since traditionally it's at our house.  I've already seen a yard decked out for the holidays in all it's electric mini-light splendor.  I saw another one last night.  I've had a meeting to plan our ward Christmas Party.  I've asked Melon Man 5 times to bring in the Christmas tree.  And...tonight, I went to Michaels and bought new stuff for our Christmas Eve table.  Needless to say....I AM EXCITED FOR CHRISTMAS THIS YEAR!

Last year, I felt like C.R.A.P.  Last year, I had surgery 8 days before Christmas Eve.  Last year, it took me 4 days to decorate my tree, one slow step up the ladder at a time.

The year before last, the economy REALLY sucked.  The year before last, NOBODY put up Christmas lights.  The year before last, I didn't even want to put up the tree.

But this year...I AM FREAKIN' STOKED about Christmas!  Yes, STOKED!  I can't wait to decorate.  I can't wait to have clam chowder and sandwiches for dinner.  I can't wait to make our family gifts.  And...I can't wait to decorate our Christmas Eve table!  I've chosen an entirely new scheme for the occasion and I'm so excited!

So, for now, this is all I'm going to post about it.  I hope it turns out as fabulous as the idea in my head!!
