Disneyland 2011 - Day 4

We slept in until about 11 a.m. this morning.  It felt so good.  Around 1 p.m., we headed over to the park.  We decided today to rent a scooter.  It was SO worth the FIFTY DOLLARS that it cost!  Melon Man didn't have to push me, I didn't have to walk, and the day just went better.  We just took our time going around the park.  We were only there 5.5 hours, but it was nice just hanging out.  We ate ice cream and watched a barbershop quartet...Melon Man sang along to every song...

Next, we got a turkey leg for me and a corn dog for Melon Man.  Yummy.  So good.  It was so relaxing to just sit there, eat, watch people, mozy along.
We rode the train around the park.  I always love riding the train.  It's slow and relaxing.  And, I love the little pre-historic section in the tunnel.  Scooter would have loved seeing the dinosaurs and such!

Look...aliens really do exist...even in pre-historic times...

We got off the training again in New Orleans square.  We decided to just have dinner at the Blue Bayou restaurant in Pirates of the Caribbean instead of going to Downtown Disney.  We just didn't feel like going over there today.  So, we went and made reservations for Blue Bayou.  Only problem...our reservation was at 4:15 and it was 2:30 and we'd been eating off and on since we arrived at the park.  So, we were a little concerned that we wouldn't be too hungry when time came for dinner.

We wandered through the shops in New Orleans Square and I took a picture of the iron balconies.  I wish I could have captured the light the way it was - it was so beautiful - but I just couldn't.  Oh well.
We enjoyed our dinner at Blue Bayou and then rode Pirates again.  We then headed over to Small World for the premiere of a new picture show.  We weren't all that impressed with the new show, so once it was over, we decided to just head back to the hotel.  We ended up just relaxing the rest of the night.  It was the perfect end to the day!
