NEW Items Added to Our Food Storage!

Just before we left for Utah, I got an email from Honeyville about some new products.  I asked Dad to go pick some up for us at the SLC store since I didn't have time to go all the way to Chandler to get them.  We got 2 cans of Freeze Dried Monterey Jack cheese, 2 cans of dehyrated refried beans (I hope they are better than the cannery's!), and a can of powdered peanut butter.
It was quite expensive for those 5 cans - $87 - because of the cheese.  But, I'm excited to try all of them.
I like peanut butter ONCE IN A WHILE and so I really can't keep a container of it without it going bad since I don't eat it all that often.  This will hopefully help!  I can take out a bit just when I need it, whip it up, and voila!  Plus, the store said it really does taste like normal peanut butter!
I've seen on their blog that the cheese is really good too and reconstitutes well.  I hope so for $30+ a can!
I've been on a refried beans kick lately.  I think it's due to the yummy refried beans at Riva's Mexican restaurant.  Mmmm, yum.  That sounds really good right now.  They are real homemade refried beans - which I usually don't like - I only like Rosarita refried beans from the can - but I really like Riva's.  So, hopefully these will be just as good.

I heard the other day from a gal in our ward whose niece works at the church office bldg. that the peanut crops have failed and pnut butter is going to be VERY expensive! Good purchase. Have you tried it yet? Let me know what it tastes like.
