Fatty Girl's Secret Prime Rib Rub Recipe

So, I've had a few requests for this recipe, so I thought I'd finally post it.  It is a recipe I came up with all on my own from flavors I like and thought a prime rib coating should taste like.  My sis, Jenn, loved it when I made it for her family on Christmas in 2007.  It's the only way I'll make a prime rib now.

MY SECRET PRIME RIB RUB

In a ziploc bag or other seasoning container (I like to use an old empty container), mix the following ingredients:

2 T kosher salt
1 T Pappy's Seasoning (you can get it at Smart & Final or here or here)
2 t garlic salt
2 t marjoram
2 t rosemary
1 t black pepper

I like to mix up a whole bunch and then just have it on hand to rub on pork loin roasts too.  So, now, rub your prime rib with some worchestershire (it's pronounced wooster-shir) sauce.  Then, rub it with some olive oil.  Now, sprinkle a liberal (that's a good amount) coating of the prime rib rub all over the roast.  Get it good and covered but don't make it an inch thick or anything!  Now, roast your prime rib slowly - I like to do it on 400 for about 20 minutes or so, so it gets nice and crispy on the outside and then turn it down to 300 until the meat thermometer says it's ALMOST medium rare.  Then, I take it out and cover it lightly with tin foil and let it rest for about 15 minutes.  It will finish cooking.  Then, when you're ready to eat, slice it up and voila - yum-o-la prime rib!
