Out of Action...But Hopefully Back Now!

I feel like I've been missing from BlogLand forever.  I just haven't had the time....and this is why...

Doing the 2011 budget for 65 cost centers and $60 million.

And...doing the forecast for September at the same time...

And...cutting vinyl for Super Saturday...

And...well, that's it.  That's ALL I've been doing lately.  As of Saturday morning, I'd had 11 hours of sleep in 4 nights.  I was EXHAUSTED to say the least.  I headed off to the church around 8:15 a.m. with Melon Man in tow and we got all the boxes of tile (240 pieces of 6x6 white ceramic tile) hauled in.  I got set up while he ran to Sonic and got me the largest lemon-berry slush available.  I think maybe I should have had him get me a diet Dr. Pepper instead.  It probably would have warded off the migraine that decided to show up around 11:30.  Yes, a migraine.  Great.  Just what I didn't need.  Those swirling dots in my left eye are such a good indicator of an impending migraine.  I'm glad I've learned to recognize them.  Luckily, my friend Kelly had some Advil with her so I quickly gulped that down and hoped it would help the bugger go away before it came on full force.  Unfortunately, it didn't clear it out completely (Aleve works best for me), but it dulled it a bit and helped me get through the next 90 minutes until Super Saturday was over and I could go home.

All the ladies loved the tile sets and I even got some additional orders.  During the week, I had a brilliant idea to offer a second set to supplement the first set since it was missing a couple of holidays.  So, the first set had Halloween, Christmas, Easter, 4th of July/Memorial Day, and Valentine's Day.  For the second set, I added New Year's, St. Patrick's Day, Thanksgiving, Spring, and Summer.  I can't wait to finish those!  They are going to be SO CUTE!  A lot of ladies ordered the second set too.  This is a picture of the first set...

I had hoped that the purple on the Halloween one would have shown up better, but it's a little dark in this picture.  Also, the pink egg on the Easter one looks a little red and the yellow one is kind of dark too, but it's the pink is actually hot pink and the yellow is a lighter shade of yellow.

Anyhow...after Super Saturday was over, I drove home, unloaded what I HAD to out of the truck, and stripped off my clothes as I walked through the house and crawled into bed with Melon Man.  He was sleeping because he works nights now.  I zonked out almost immediately.  The poor dogs are so confused, I bet!  I slept and slept and slept.  I woke up around 11:30 p.m. and wondered what day and time it was (before I looked at the clock to see what time it was).  I figured that since it was completely dark in the room and the clock said 11:30, it had to be night.  I felt around and Melon Man was gone, so yep, it had to be night and he was likely at work.  I had been asleep since 2 p.m.  I started to go back to sleep, but then it hit me - I hadn't done the programs for church yet!  So...I got up, read some email, got my head in the game as best as I could since the migraine wasn't gone yet, and started working on the program.  I texted Melon Man a couple of times letting him know I wasn't feeling so swift and then sent the program to the 1st counselor in the bishopric and let him know I likely wouldn't be there in the morning.  I went back to bed around 2 a.m. but I couldn't get warm.  It's like 200 million degrees here in Arizona still and I was freezing!  I guess I was still overtired.  I finally put Melon Man's pillow on top of me to try to warm me up (we only sleep with a sheet on top of us in the summer) and turned the ceiling fan almost off (I do need SOME air circulation when I sleep).  I finally got warm enough and fell back to sleep.  I had some major funky dreams though about Lisa and I having some weird fight and then Satan and polygamy and pregnancy cults and such.  Weird!

I woke up at 7 to get ready for church and from the moment I rolled over, I knew I was not going to be able to go.  I could barely move for some reason.  I think I slept on my left side all night and never moved.  It was so sore.  And my head...yep, it still hurt.  So, I migrated to the sofa and covered up with a blanket.  Melon Man must have known I didn't feel well since the dogs were still outside when he got home 30 minutes later.  He left for church and I never even heard him come home.  I finally woke up and saw him sitting next to me watching tv.  I asked him what time it was and it was 1:35 p.m.!  I'd slept almost 24 hours straight!  I don't recall any other time that I've ever done that!  I guess I just needed it.

Well, since I slept all afternoon yesterday, I never made it back into work to finish up the September forecast so that meant I had to go in today to do so.  I HATE working on Sunday, but I had to do it this time because it's due tomorrow morning and I knew that if I waited to do it in the morning, it wouldn't be done since I have a couple of meetings first thing and when I'm not in meetings, I get interrupted for one reason or another.  So, it was just necessary that I go in today.  (I feel bad though because I missed calling my Tatobug to congratulate him on being ordained a Priest today.  It was 10:45 Utah time when I left work so it was too late to call him.  I will have to call him tomorrow.  I suck at being an auntie.)  I was there for 5 hours, got it all done, and then I came home.  I finally felt a reprieve.  I finally felt a huge weight off my shoulders.  I finally felt relaxed enough that the muscles in my neck cracked and relieved some of the tension I'd been storing in them.  So, I decided to blog.  I have so many posts to catch up on.  Maybe I'll have some time this week to work on them.  Plus, I go to Chicago next week again and since I'll have the evenings free, I should be able to catch up all the way while I'm there - including our vacation!  Yay!

So, now I'm off to bed - again - even though I am wide awake now...but don't want to get back into the tired mode again for the week.  Plus, there is still a little residual pain still in my head so maybe some more sleep will help.

Hey Lady, those tiles turned out cute! So sorry you haven't been getting enough sleep with all the reports and work you have had to do. You are such a hard worker, you deserve to catch up on all the sleep you lost! I need to order some vinyl from ya for my house! I miss seeing you at church. I hope your migraine has gone away! Let me know what you are up to and if you want to get together soon.
