Beware...this entry contains writings from Bummer Girl.
Today is my birthday. It was nothing special. I got my regular wake up call from Melon Man at 6 a.m. and he wished me happy birthday. Then, I went to work and Lisa had left a message for me. Then Auntie called, then Dad, Lisa again, Jennifer. I received text messages from Linda,Cindy, and Kevin/Jodi/Ari. Then Julie called later in the evening and left a message while I was at Mutual. I was grateful for all who called/texted.
It was weird not having anyone at work realize or say Happy Birthday or anything. I'm so used to "my girls" that I used to have for employees who would decorate my office and such. Oh well.
I would have wanted one of these birthday cakes, if we'd celebrated:
Melon Man and I didn't even get to celebrate by going out to dinner because he had to go to work and I had to teach a class at Mutual. I dropped my favorite vase in the garage as I was taking it out to the car (for the class) and it shattered all over the garage floor. My class didn't go as well as I wanted. We won't be having family over to celebrate because it just doesn't fit in with my life right now. I have way too much going on....work, prom, a trip to Chicago, church lessons, ward bulletin, hair appointment, Mutual, etc. Lisa and Linda are going to take me to lunch on Monday though, so that will be fun.
Oh...and my Christmas tree is still up.

And I texted too. I choose cake #2. Hope your lunch is wonderful!
I texted as well. No one has done anything at work for my birthday for years. Even when I hit the big 4-0. It's just something I've learned to live with.
I'm sorry my cake won't be as nice as the ones you have chosen, but I will do my best to make it taste good!
