Scary Saturday

Blog Reminder: Dog. That's all I have to say. Well, not really - but it's a reminder.

Blog Entry: So our wonderful neighbor kids decided to have a party last night. It started at 12:30 in the morning and went until almost 3 a.m. Can I just say that I hardly slept during that time? Clint finally had to get up and close our bedroom window to try to block out some of the noise. The party was inside their house, in the kitchen, but their window was open and it's right across from our bedroom window. We thought about calling the cops, but didn't. By 5 a.m., I was so tired and also my back hurt, so I got up and moved to the sofa. Dog went with me. C got up and got ready to go to his first day at his new work and I was so out of it that I didn't even notice. I feel so bad that I didn't get to wish him well!

About 10:15, something caused me to wake up. Dog was sitting at the end of the recliner foot rest and staring at me with this odd look. He was shaking and his left arm was stiff. The brown of his eyes was blue. His saliva was just dripping like rain out of his mouth. Luckily, I'd seen something similar in Doodles before and knew that Koda was having a seizure, although this one was a bit different that Doodles'. After it was over and having done some research, I found out that he had a seizure in between a petit mal and a grand mal. It was a little of both types. He just looked at me like "Mom, help me." I wish there was something I could have done but you just have to wait until it's over. It seems like a long time while it's happening, but it didn't really last that long. I hope he doesn't have one again. Too scary. Makes me cry.

Didn't get much done today other than updated blogs and made a dent in cleaning up the kitchen. C and I went to dinner and then to Michaels to get paper for the cute little scrapbook albums that Lisa's taking up to the cabin as well as the extras for the sisters in the ward that ordered more from Super Saturday. Looking forward to church tomorrow. C gets to go again for the 5th time in 6 weeks! Yahoo!

Wanted to mention that when C walked in the door from work today, he had the BIGGEST smile on his face - a huge smile that I haven't seen in a LONG time! It was so great. He said, "I think I'm really going to like working there!" It was wonderful to see him so happy!

Rachel's song is an original song written by a sister in our ward who is like THE music lady. She plays piano, writes, etc. She always writes original music for the stake xmas program and wrote this one for Rachel to sing in it. Rachel should have an album she is so dang good, but very modest about her talent. She is Shaun's age. The year Victoria wrote it, she had Rachel record the single in a studio and then they gave that as their xmas card. I can play it over and over.
