Wow, It's Been a While.

My last post was from 8/6. Today is 8/13. That's a whole week. It seems like forever. So, let's see...what have I been doing?

1. Working. It's 2010 Plan time.
2. Working. It's August monthly forecast time.
3. Went to church this past Sunday. Came home, ate some chips and onion dip, and fell asleep from 2 to 6 pm. Then, once again, couldn't go to sleep when it was time to go to bed.

That's it. I really can't think of anything else that I've done lately. Oh, stopped at Real Deals on the way home from work today. The owner is selling her store because she's moving back to Utah to own a store there. I have no desire to even remotely buy her store. It's not that it's a bad store or anything because it's not, it's just that I don't want to do it. Plus, I don't have an extra $109,000 laying around to buy it. Darn.

I'm super excited for this weekend. First, my boss gave me tomorrow off. I worked 67 hours last week AND worked Saturday, plus worked 28 hours in the first 2 days this week so he said I could have tomorrow off. I am so GRATEFUL. I really need it, especially since I worked on Saturday and nothing at home got done that I should have done (yes, Melon Man has helped this week, but there are just "things" that need to be done that I typically do versus him doing them). Plus, I really need some sleep. Getting old just sucks and only sleeping 4 to 5 hours a night doesn't help much. So, tomorrow I'm going to sleep in...as long as I can, anyway. Then, I'm going to finish working on the office and get it put back together. Once I get that all done, I'm going to pick up around here so Holly can come clean on Saturday. Once all of that is done, I'm going to just sit and read my new book, The Undaunted.

The second reason I'm excited for this weekend is because on Saturday and Sunday we have Stake Conference. This is a special stake conference for us because they are going to be splitting our stake! Wow, after just 5 years, our Stake has grown to 13 wards and one branch. The boundaries are HUGE. So, it's time now. From "rumors" we've been hearing, we will be in the new stake and will actually be going to a different building - one that is further than our current building which is just around the corner. Oh well. At least it's not 30 minutes away (or 30 miles away) like it was when I first moved here. There is a Priesthood session on Saturday from 4 to 6 pm and Melon Man will be going to that. Then, from 7 to 9 is the adult session. I wonder if they will announce the new boundaries at this meeting or if they will just wait until Sunday.

On Sunday, the stake will be split and reorganized into two stakes. It will be interesting to see who is called into Stake positions. We're off the radar....no phone calls this week! In one way, we're really glad, in another, not. It would be nice to be on the Lord's "short list" once in a while for a calling. But, it seems like we're always at the bottom of the list or not even on it at all for some reason. Don't know why.

But, one really cool thing that will also happen on Sunday is that Melon Man will be sustained as a High Priest. I am so very excited for him. He has waited for this for a long time. This shows his progression in the gospel (as well as the fact that he's getting old!). The following week, he will actually be set apart as a High Priest. My dad is flying back down from Utah for the special occasion. We will be having a family get together for dinner afterwards. All of our family members are invited. We certainly hope Lary and Tere and Nik and Noah and their families will come. Lisa and Craig and Auntie Sigie and Uncle Ward will be there. It will be a lot of fun having both families there.

So, that's what I've been up to and what is going on right now. Had a nice little monsoon storm last night. Surely needed it. We still need more though.

Can't wait for Jen to get home from Girls' Camp so I can hear all about how it went. I bet it was great. Wish Jodi and Ang would post some pics from the Trek on their blogs so I could read about how that went too. Need to call Julie back from our conversation today that got cut short.

I'm very sleepy so I'm off to bed now.
